I was a Beachbody HATER. Not because I disliked the fitness programs, I thought those were awesome. It was the coaches clogging up my social media with the selfies, quotes, those shakes and the constant this or that. It was like a cult! Well, I was very wrong.
I have sworn off MLM and network marketing companies for years. This was due to a bad experience with another company when I was younger. Another reason is that I didn’t was to be THAT girl. You know, the girl on your social media feed that was in your face and always selling you something.
So why did I do it? What changed? I did.
After years of active jobs and a great metabolism, it all changed. I got older, my metabolism dropped and I got a true 9-5 desk job. My body and I haven’t been the same since. I stopped recognizing myself, then I found out I was pregnant. I had never felt more run down, awkward and uncomfortable in my life. That glow…yeah it is really just sweat. Something had to change. I needed to take some time and do something for myself so I could look and feel like myself again.
I gave this A LOT of thought and reflection. After “unfollowing” just about every friend I had on social media that was a Beachbody coach, I reached out to one of the few that survived the cut. I decided that I had nothing to lose and everything to gain if this helped motivate me and helped me feel like myself again.
That’s when I reached out and decided to sign up for a challenge group and then sign up as a coach (originally just for a discount). Who doesn’t like the save money, right? What I didn’t realize was I signed up for a ton of encouragement, accountability and a very big focus on personal growth. It CLICKED! Immediately I knew that these were the things that I really needed to stay on track and be successful.
That was the very moment I decided that I wanted MORE. I wanted to do more than just benefit from a discount. Helping others who are struggling with the same things I have been became a very important mission. I want to help others feel like themselves again and know that they are NOT STUCK.
I drank the KoolAid, so to speak, and I liked it. This group of women and men are amazing, inspiring, uplifting and positive! My outlook is more positive now. Unbelievably, I have more energy, despite averaging 4 hours of sleep a night. I’m starting to get back into shape. Most importantly, I’m beginning to feel like myself again!
If you feel like I have, I hope you will look into the opportunity Beachbody has to offer. However, if it’s not for you I hope you find something, whatever that is, to make you feel whole and like yourself again. If you are willing, I would love to be the one to help get you there!
